Please join us in praying for Langham around the world.
Preaching
An “Administry” Consultation will be held in Keswick, UK for those involved in the administrative work of Langham Preaching around the world. It will be a time to reflect on current practice and plan to improve changes in systems, structures and procedures to help the work run more efficiently and effectively. Pray for a productive week together and for a deepening and strengthening of relationships.
Pray for Preaching events happening in these nations:
- 12-18 Nov – Colombia, Liberia (2), Costa Rica
- 19-25 Nov – Greece (2 meetings and a consultation), Liberia, South Asia
- 26 Nov-2 – Dec – Kenya, Liberia, Africa Continent meeting
- 3 – 9 Dec – Chile, Cambodia, South Asian celebration
Where countries are considered sensitive, the region is given.
Scholars
Please continue to pray for Scholars being supported through Langham Australia. Pray for George Bishai in Egypt as he revises his thesis, for Joseph Byamukama as he studies in Uganda and for Crystal from East Asia, who continues studying through Sydney University and considers what happens when she finishes her PhD in early 2024.
Pray also for the Scholar Selection Committee as they work through applications for the coming year; there are always more applications than Langham can fund, so pray for guidance and wisdom as they decide who will receive the scholarships.
Literature
Please pray for the Literature team as they attend the Evangelical Theological Society Annual meeting on 14-16 November and Society of Biblical Literature Annual meeting on 18-21 November, in San Antonio, USA.
Administration
Please pray for the international Leadership Team and International Council as they work together to lead and support the global work across the three Programs of Preaching, Literature and Scholars.
Pray also for the international Operational Management Team who will meet (via Zoom) this month as they develop policies and procedures and work together on a variety of issues. Pray for Langham Australia: that God will raise more supporters for Langham’s ministry in our part of the world.
