Q&A with our previous author:
Federico Villanueva
Rico is our Scholar Care Coordinator in Asia and in this book, he aims to address the current attitudes and proclamations of "God is good all the time.....All the time God is good", that leaves hardly any room for negative experiences, doubts and struggles in the Christian communities. Join us to read and discuss our latest book: For the Life of the World by Johannes van der Bijil
We read his previous book last year, Breakfast on the Beach - the gospels' narrative through the eyes of Simon Peter. There, Johannes van der Bijil invited us to experience Jesus' life and ministry anew. Now, van der Bijil continues the story following the disciples on their journey in the Book of Acts!

Johannes, originally a native of Namibia, has travelled and worked extensively across many cross-cultural settings in countries around the world. In his book, Johannes hopes that we will once again be filled with the same confidence and boldness to spread the gospel as the disciples were, and that his books will be a great evangelistic tool for those new to the Bible.

Next Book: August 2026 - Reading the Gospel of John Through Palestinian Eyes
Christians from diverse cultural, religious, and political contexts have been studying the Gospel of John for almost two thousand years. In this insightful reflection on the Fourth Gospel, Rev Yohanna Katanacho invites us to encounter the text anew, this time from the perspective of a twenty-first century Palestinian Christian.
Challenging the claim that Christ belongs to a particular denomination, nation, or race, Katanacho presents the Gospel of John as introducing a new world order.
