November Prayer Points

Please join us in praying for Langham around the world.

Administration

  • Our new administrator, Faye, has officially joined our team! Please pray that she settles in well and has a smooth transition in her upcoming role.
  • Our YA Engagement Coordinator, Simon Nugent, is concluding his role at Langham as well as starting a new season as a newlywed! While it is exciting, it is also bittersweet; please pray that his new season will be blessed and that the transition goes smoothly.

Preaching

  • In Cairo, Egypt, the first-ever Facilitator Workshop will take place in the MENA region. A very exciting time for Langham Preaching and the development of the work in this key region! Please pray that this training will help to continue the growth of the work and enable more seminars to be offered in different parts of the country.
  • In Accra, Ghana, the African Preaching Movement Coordinators and Ushirika Coordinators will meet together for a Consultation. Pray for safety in travel, for successful visa applications where necessary and for those who will facilitate and lead sessions.

Please pray for these Preaching training events. NOTE: the number next to the country’s name is how many are running in the country at the time:

  • 16 – 22 November: South East Asia, Belgium
  • 23 – 30 November: Kenya, Cambodia, Spain
  • 1 – 7 December: Philippines, Switzerland, Bolivia-2
  • 8 – 14 December: South Asia, Ghana, Switzerland-2, Togo, Kenya

Thank you for praying for these events!

Where the country is sensitive, the region is given.

Scholars

  • Please pray for the new members of the Scholars Team who have started this year – Dr. Eliane Mensah, Scholar Care Coordinator for Francophone Africa; Dr. Reuben Aspden, Scholar Care Coordinator for UK and Western Europe; and Dr. Chee-Chiew Lee, Postdoctoral Projects Lead.
  • Remember the Scholars Team as they meet in Nairobi, Kenya, for their annual team meeting.  Pray for safety in travelling, as well as wisdom and discernment in all the discussions that will take place during the week.

Literature

  • Please pray for the publishing team as they meet in Boston, USA, and hold their first advisory council meeting, spend time in fellowship and business meetings, and attend Evangelical Theological Society Annual meeting 18th-20th November and Society of Biblical Literature Annual meeting 22nd– 25th November.
  • Pray for evangelical publishers in countries where Christian publishing is not permitted or is extremely difficult. Creative methods are needed and a huge dedication. Pray for safety, protection and productivity.
