Dear friend, 

As we approach Christmas and all the busyness of the season, it has been a joy to take time out each day to quietly reflect on the advent of our Lord and Saviour with the Advent Devotionals prepared by our Majority World brothers and sisters. More than ever it is important to hear the voices of those who live in circumstances far removed from our own, but who bring insight and wisdom from the same Good News that we have also heard. 

For the same reason I am delighted by the revision of the Africa Bible Commentary – building on this first of the one volume commentaries that have blessed so many different language and cultural groups around the world, and with more in the pipeline. 

Christmas truly is a time to bring us together to rejoice in our status as one family, one Church under our incarnated King, even as we pray for peace on earth. 

May your Christmas be one filled with the joy and love of your global family in Christ as we celebrate the birth of our Lord.
