A note from Gillean
CEO of Langham Australia
Dear friend,
One of the great joys of working with Langham Partnership is the emphasis on partnership that is at the core of our identity and way of operating.
National Members, like Langham Partnership Australia, who raise funds and awareness, and the Programs (Preaching, Literature and Scholars) work together to achieve the vision and mission of the organisation. However, we also prize our partnerships with the global Church and other organisations who labour alongside us, each playing their own part in the Kingdom. We work best when we work together in harmony and unity, respecting our different strengths and valuing the contribution of all.
This month we have seen this approach in action as we have partnered with theological colleges and local churches to bring the opportunity to hear from Joseph, our Ugandan Scholar, as he visited four capital cities in Australia during his visit for his graduation from Ridley College. We have also been exploring partnerships with other mission agencies and denominations to maximise the impact we can have in locations where we are both operating. How good it is to see God bringing together His people to work collaboratively in our desire to see the Church grow not just in size, but in depth and Christian maturity.
Pray for our Partnerships – that we may not only expand the reach of our ministries, but that we may conduct them in a way that honours and brings glory to our God. Pray, too, that we may see more and more workers raised up and equipped to lead, preach and teach for the benefit of His Church world wide – because we depend wholly upon Him and the partnership He has developed between you and Langham to undertake the mission He has given to us.
We thank God for you, your encouragement and your support in our labours.
