October Prayer Points

Please join us in praying for Langham around the world.

Administration  

  • 13th-18th Langham International Leadership Team and International Council will be meeting. Please pray for these very strategic meetings and that good conversations can be had over Zoom. 
  • 20th- 25th Riad and Chris Wright will be travelling to South Korea with David and Joy Kim to meet with some key Christians there. The desire is to set up a new National Member there.

Preaching

  • Two Facilitator Workshops will take place in Manila and Bukidnon in the Philippines this month. The need for trained facilitators increases as the demand for seminars increases.  Pray that these facilitators will be inspired by the training that they receive and will feel equipped to serve others in this capacity.
  • In September, we welcomed Dáni Bozsóki to the Langham Preaching team. Dáni has taken on the role of Personal Assistant to our Europe and Caribbean Director, Andy Oatridge. Please pray that Dáni will soon settle into his new role and establish strong relationships with his Continental Leadership Team.

Scholars

  • We give thanks for Dr. Fred Gale, for Malcolm and Liz McGregor, and Mardochee Nadoumngar and the impact that they have had on numerous Langham Scholars over many years in their Scholar Care Coordinator roles.  We pray God’s blessing on the next chapter of their lives, as they all stepped down from their Langham roles at the end of June 2025.
  • Please pray for Amara* from South Asia. She has received a Langham Scholarship to a university in Australia, however her visa was unfortunately not approved. Please pray that she can find another university to complete her studies. *Name changed for security.

Literature

  • The Catalogues for the 2025/2026 Library Grant Programme are currently in production (one in English and one in French). Pray that all the various elements will come together in a timely way and that there will be no unnecessary delays. 
  • October marks the 1st anniversary of the launch of Onesimas Theological Publishing in Ethiopia. Give thanks for an outstanding year of hard work, progress and real encouragement. This 19th October sees a public thanksgiving service and the launch of 4 new titles. Pray for increasing public awareness for Onesimas and for ongoing blessing through the books being published.
