Dear Friends

Thank you for your prayerful support for the work of Langham Preaching around the world. Here are the items for the week ahead.

Sierra Leone: This week a Level 3 event takes place in Bo with 30 participants from Tiama, Mano, Njala and Bo. Chris Jonah (country coordinator), Agnes and Mohamed Ngeba will facilitate the event. Chris asks us ’to pray for safety for all who travel in this rainy season, and for the Lord’s protection as the Ebola epidemic continues to spread. The lead Sierra Leonean doctor in the fight against the disease recently died. There is a bit of panic and people travel only for essential reasons.’

Tanzania: This week a preaching event will take place in Utengule Bible College with 80 participants expected. Please pray for Elkana Gonda (country coordinator) and Simon Semgweno as they facilitate the event and for the participants to have a rewarding time of fellowship in God’s Word.

Ethiopia: On Tuesday a Refresher day will take place in Addis Ababa at the Evangelical Theological College. Local preachers clubs will come together for prayer and also for reflection about the preaching movement within the country. Frew Tamrat (country coordinator) asks us to pray ‘that the preaching movement will be strengthened. There is a plan to facilitate a Level 1 training in northern Ethiopia and there is also a request by churches outside of Addis Ababa to receive training. Pray that the Lord will provide the funding for us to conduct these seminars in other parts of the country.’

Thanks for your prayers!
