Prayer in Sierra Leone, Pakistan, Kenya…Monday 11th August 2014

11 August 2014

Dear Friends

Thank you for your continued prayerful support for the work of Langham Preaching around the world. Here are the items for praise and prayer for the coming week.

Sierra Leone: Chris Jonah (country coordinator) has written to inform us that the Level 3 last week went well and that the Ebola outbreak did not prevent anyone from attending. There were good discussions about developing and sustaining the work in the region. Please pray for fruit and that all will work on the action plan, and for Gods intervention in the Ebola crises.

Pakistan: Steve Sonneman (country coordinator) writes ‘we give thanks to God for the level one training last week in Rawalpindi and Lahore. Pray for the attendees to put into practice what they have learnt. Pray for the leadership here, there is a terrific team of locals Nancy & Tariq (Rawalpindi), Javaid & Shakeel (Lahore) who are keen to keep the preaching movement going’.

Kenya: This week a Level 3 Refresher will be held in Limuru. Alan Meenan, Peter, Ignatius and Wesley will facilitate the event for 40 participants from various parts of the country. Peter (country coordinator) asks us to pray ‘for the local facilitators who for the first time will be handling the teaching on OT law’.

Colombia: A Level 3 will be held in Cali this week with Kenton Anderson, Dionisio Orjuela (regional coordinator), Joaquín Pastor and David Montoya facilitating. 80 people will come from several cities in the country and Dionisio asks us to pray for ‘safety, health, and both financial and time provision for all’.

Bolivia: This week a Level 1 event will be held in a town close to Cochabamba called Capinota. Edwin Fernandez and Eduardo Rojas will be the facilitators working alongside the Baptist Seminary in Cochabamba. Half of the participants will be students from the Seminary and the other half will be Baptist lay preachers and leaders. Eduardo asks us to ‘pray that God may give us clarity and depth in our teaching. And that the attendants may be encouraged to apply the tools and knowledge that they will learn in the event to their ministries and churches’.

Zimbabwe: The fourth out of eight Saturday Level 1 events will take place in Bulawayo this week. John Stambolie asks us to pray ‘for good attendance and a ready grasp of the key big idea of the sermon preparation process’.

Thanks for your prayers!
