Dear Friends

Thank you for your prayers for the work of Preaching around the world. Here are the items for the week ahead:

Global Planning Meetings: Thank you for your prayers for the meetings that took place last week with Jorge Atiencia (Latin America), Emmanuel Oladipo (Anglophone Africa), Mike McGowan (Francophone Africa), Mark Meynell (Europe), Jennifer Cuthbertson, Ruth Slater and Paul Windsor. Our time together was very fruitful both in terms of building the team and planning the future of the Preaching work together.

Papua New Guinea: This week a Training of Trainers event will be held in Banz and Port Moresby with Tim Johnson and Wendy Toulmin providing the training. Communication with many of the local team is very difficult with no internet and very poor mobile reception in many places. Please pray that the participants all arrive safely and in good time for the week of learning together. Pray too for the ‘Taste of Langham’ days planned for each location with local pastors and lay preachers invited and the local team providing the training.

Panama: In Panama city this week a Level 1 will be held for 20 escuelita coordinators from three provinces. Jorge Atiencia (facilitator), Dionisio Orjuela (regional coordinator), Jocabed Solano and Idalcy Aguilar will facilitate the training. Please pray for safety, health and the financial provision needed for all those who will attend.

DR Congo: This week Mike McGowan (regional coordinator) and Muhindo Isesomo (country coordinator) will facilitate a Level 2 in Kananga. Please pray for the 30 pastors who are travelling from rural areas to attend this event.

Zimbabwe: In Bulawayo the third Saturday Level 1 event will take place and will be facilitated by Bhekimpilo Mkwebu, Lennon Mazonde and John Stambolie. 30 participants will attend and we are asked to pray ‘for the practical steps of faithful sermon preparation to take root in the weekly sermon preparation’.

Thanks for your prayers!
